Hi everyone,
There's been a lot of people talking about getting a "journal club" started where we could get together with a couple of articles and have a group discussion. Part professional development, part meeting people across Duke, and part thinking differently about our day-to-day.
I think we could aim to do this monthly. To get it started, I'm going to block 4-6p on Weds., February 28th. Location TBD, but likely some place on Duke's campus, or nearby (we can figure out a rotation going forward).
If you're interested, please reply here so that I can get a rough head count, and if you have ideas for articles, or topics, please include that too.
-Sean
I would be interested in joining, and would love to discuss the new Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway, and JPMorgan alliance to disrupt healthcare.
I am interested in joining!
I am interested in joining as well! LeVelton hit upon one topic of interest. Another would be change/ facilitating change socially and within healthcare, diversity and financial improvement, and resilience
I am interested in joining, and would love to explore how we better integrate/adapt traditional care models with trends like weareable tech, apps, and other emerging "self service" health recources; specifically, if there are other industries we can point to that experienced tech revolutions in a space where control of knowledge is not traditionally held by the consumer
I am interested in joining as well, and would like to learn more about innovative ways that health care organizations are partnering with insurance companies to better manage the health of local and regional patients.
Thanks for the ideas, everyone. Keep them coming. And please spread the word about the first get together so that we can get a nice crowd.
I'll follow-up with some articles and some initial questions early next week.
I'm interested in the journal club, but have a conflict on 2/28. I'm interested in how Big Data and machine learning are being used today to improve health and healthcare delivery.
I am interested in joining as well.
I am also interested in joining!
I am interested in joining! Thank you, Sean!
